UPLIFT

The UPLIFT program is offered to students who have successfully completed
the LIFT introductory program and who want to push further the integration of
healthy lifestyle habits through the acquisition of skills in formulating, planning and executing objectives related to healthy lifestyle habits in order to
to learn to take care of yourself.

All our programs are turnkey and include the following characteristics:

• 8 weeks
• 60-75 minutes/week
• 2 certified mentors
• Interactive presentations
• Group discussions
• Meditation and movement

HEART

In a world that is changing very quickly, we must learn to keep our feet on the ground and manage our emotions. The mind is consumed by performance and productivity for all daily tasks and we forget to take the time to restore our serenity and focus on our primordial needs.

Through the perspectives of science and personal experience, this program is built to give participants quick, easy, and effective tools to learn how to develop their emotional intelligence and communicate better.

The program

PEACEFUL WARRIOR

This program focuses on
developing mindfulness as a tool to build resilience, empathy and self-compassion to cope with addictions. Through weekly group workshops, participants will learn to cope with life as it presents itself and will be more motivated to choose a healthy lifestyle.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this program is the sharing of knowledge, experiences and practices among peers. This creates strong bonds that build motivation for positive change. This program invites participants to develop being in the present, living with intention and having a non-judgmental attitude that will serve them in all areas of their lives.

CAMP VERSION

Summer and winter camps are immersive, multi-day experiences where young people have the opportunity to put
in practice and live the principles of Camp LIFT.

The schedule is specially designed to allow young people to move more, eat well, surpass themselves and learn about their values, their strengths and their limits in an environment
safety supervised by qualified facilitators.

The Camp LIFT curriculum includes activities such as:

• movement and physical conditioning practices,

• yoga and meditation,

• mindfulness and critical thinking workshops,

• cooking and healthy eating workshops.

To ensure the effectiveness of our services and the good development of young people, only young people from participating schools
school programs are eligible.

GREEN LEADER

This program aims to give young people the means to act for the environment by involving them in the co-creation of concrete projects within their school. Through workshops, they develop their connection to nature, their ecological leadership and their sense of initiative, thus preparing them to become agents of change.
Engaging in these projects not only offers them a transformative experience, but also strengthens their well-being and ecological commitment. By promoting their development and encouraging them to use their leadership for causes that are important to them, this program shapes the positive leaders of tomorrow.

The Camp LIFT team believes that the best way to counter the risk factors leading to dropping out is to focus on the positive development of physical, mental and relational health. In fact, the best way to eradicate a bad habit is to replace it with a good one! Adolescents are going through a very particular phase in their lives: significant cerebral, physical, psychological and hormonal changes, detachment/separation from parental identity, non-conformism, questioning, identity redefinition. Rather than seeing this as a problem to be solved, we see it as an extraordinary opportunity to recognize and honor this important stage of life by cultivating an attitude of acceptance in the face of these upheavals and offering unconditional support to young people.

OUR PURPOSE

LIFT is a health promotion program that aims to establish and cultivate healthy lifestyle habits. This program offers young people experiential and interactive learning on essential themes to address during adolescence such as:

  • the importance of developing one's potential;
  • manage stress and procrastination;
  • principles of nutrition and movement;
  • addiction and social networks;
  • empathetic communication in conflict management;
  • exploring their values to discover the type of person they want to become.

CAMP LIFT

The Camp LIFT curriculum includes activities such as movement and fitness practices, yoga and meditation, mindfulness and critical thinking workshops, cooking and healthy eating.

To ensure the effectiveness of our services and the proper development of young people, only young people from schools participating in school programs are eligible.

THE GREEN LEADER PROGRAM

We have seen growing anxiety among the younger population related to climate change, now recognized as a climate crisis. Teenagers feel overwhelmed and helpless. In order to support young people facing this immense challenge, LIFT created the Green Leader Program with financial support from the Community Health and Social Services Network (RCSSS) and in collaboration with their Youth Mental Health Initiative (ISMJ).

This program works well with a small group or class of young people motivated to act for the environment. Here are the objectives of the program:

  • Providing a space for young people to awaken to the connection with nature, which promotes their well-being while stimulating a positive and solid basis for eco-citizen engagement.
  • Empower young people to take charge of their future on our planet by providing them with emotional support and concrete tools to act.
  • Support young people in the co-creation of a project with environmental impacts in their school.

NATURE CONNECTION WORKSHOPS

Adolescence represents a period of challenges, where the connection with nature proves to be an essential tool to overcome these challenges. This series of two workshops can be offered in schools or to small groups of young people faced with particularly complex situations.

Thousands of studies have shown the benefits of nature for humans, it reduces stress levels, lowers blood pressure and even improves overall mood and mental well-being. It also stimulates a deeper sense of empathy and responsibility for the environment. Connecting to nature is also the first step that leads young people to contribute to the collective well-being of our planet.

CONFERENCE
GREEN LEADER

The lecture is aimed at a wider audience, it can be offered in class or to a larger group. Here are the main objectives:

  1. Understand and feel the connection to nature and its benefits
  2. Develop the power to act and the accessibility of impact
  3. Understand that it is by starting from a place of joy and well-being that we will change the world.
